Exactly. Rarely played by high level players, as it is very hard to find counterchances with this. Certainly playable at club level, however.

Five of swords- It certainly does spice things up to throw in a countergambit with 3 . . f5. And as I said, at club level you can play darned near anything. But I think that moves us from a "rarely played" line to a "obscure and abandoned" line for high level players. On the other hand, It would likely have surprise value.
