Yeah, much worse. 1500 Turn-based, to 2100 bullet in 3 years.

4...a6 is the Kan. I'm learning the Taimanov, and have been getting wins off site with it against opponents who used to slay my Dragon. I'm rated under 1,200, and I chose it because it doesn't have reams of theory and it is played by people at upper levels like Anand and Judit Polgar. Check out You Tube videos on the Taimanov. I like the book, Sicilian Taimanov move by move.

I'm only rated around 1200 in daily chess and less in 30 minute games, and I've had success (wins and draws) with the Taimanov playing higher-rated opponents. It is, allegedly, less difficult to learn than the Dragon or Najdorf. I've made some mistakes using it, but I'm analyzing losses and learning.

no shame in playing mostly bullet and blitz on chess.com i even know several masters who cant stand standard here because of all the engines
