I would recommend the najdorf as black, and as far as I know it is very hard to put isolated pawns against it as white.

The best way to meet the Sicilian is head-on, in the Open variation.
You can always play an unusual sixth move, if you want to take your opponents out of their preparation. You could meet the Dragon (1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6) with the Levenfish 6. f4 instead of the Yugoslav Attack which Black will be ready for; and meet the Najdorf (1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 a6) with a move like 6. Rg1 followed by g4.
