Norway Chess breaks with Grand Chess Tour

The Grand Chess Tour will not include Norway Chess in 2016, after the tournament declared it doesn't want to continue being a part of it. Rumours have it that the tour will replace it with a rapid (?) chess tournament. It is unclear if Carlsen will play the tour, as his manager says he has a title match and quite a few other tournaments, but he will definitely play Norway, that continues as a tournament, but outside the Grand Chess Tour.

You seem to think this is pretty earth-shattering news.

Why don't you translate the Norwegian news article into English for us?

Oops, not really, but the default forum being Chess Openings I noticed it had ended up there and couldn't be moved, so I reposted it in the proper forum and tried to delete this one, but then I only kept getting error messages and it refused to disappear :-)
