I was looking for some good opening but I couldn't find that matches my style so i invented one. Tortoise opening is very similar to it but this is different. 1. e4 e5 2. Bd3 (bishop developed) 3. c4 (space grab) 4. Nf3 (knight out) 5. Nc3 (second knight out) 6. Be2 (bishop moved to open d3) 7. d3 (center support + bishop opens) 8. O-O (king castled, rook activated) try this out and rate it

Same name #2! Yay! When I thought the thar gambit was only on “for beginners”. there are alot of hate comments on the other forum talking about this same thing including me which I hate it in my opining and will never use it. There are very good reasons for not inventing a new opening because you can’t hold up with it and can’t study it because you are just a 600 and even me a

1200 can’t study it because I am not a GM or any king of master and new openings are beaten by the metas being the Italian, the Spanish, the Scotch, and by so much more that your openings are can’t compete. All of this does not matter if it is just for fun but if you want to get better follow me instead.

Those who don't like it need not to use it i have used in 4 games and 3 win 1 draw and its working for me just posted it because I thought people would also like it

I did and the 600s got me out of theory in the 2nd move.

600s don’t know what to do.

What is the point of Bd3 followed by Be2?

If you are going to focus a Pawn at e4, Pawn at c4 and Knight at c3 all pointing at the d5 square, wouldn't the Bishop be better placed at g2, to add more power to the same focus?

I sometimes play the Botvinnik System with either White or Black.

White has two center Pawns, a Knight and a Bishop all controlling the important d5 square. He can generate play on either wing, with b2-b4 on the Q-side or with f2-f4 on the K-side.

The same system can be played with the Black pieces instead. Here is a game from an over-the-board rated tournament, the 1982 Atlantic Provinces Championship (Round 2).
