The "Linux Opening"

Hi everyone,

I want to share a unique White opening system that I've been working on and decided to call the "Linux Opening". It starts with a Hungarian setup but quickly moves into a non-standard line that takes your opponent out of book memorization right from the start.

How to continue the game:
The most common and logical response from Black at move 4 will be 4... d5, trying to claim the full center.

When they do, White's immediate counterstrike is 5. d4!

If Black pushes 5... e4, White can strike the center later with c4.
If Black takes 5... exd4, White can simply recapture with 6. exd4 or 6. Nxd4, obtaining an incredibly comfortable, solid, and active position where all pieces are perfectly coordinated.
Give this opening a try in your blitz or rapid games and let me know what you think in the comments below!

The Linux Opening: English Variant

Hey guys, quick update on the opening I posted. I've been playtesting it and honestly, the 3.e3 line felt way too passive and cramped. So I decided to create a new, much more aggressive version: the English Variant of the Linux Opening!

Instead of e3, we strike immediately with 3.c4!. It gives the pieces way more breathing room, fights for the d5 square right away, and honestly feels ten times better to play. Let me know what you think of this variation!
