The Ruy Lopez and Opening Traps

The Ruy Lopez is one of my favorite openings because everyone knows it and it still hard to play against.  Here is a common set up that ends for Black with a beautiful queen sac for white

The 1st trap is quite common and usually people that fall for it see the outcome and usualy will sack the king with the bishop (bc5xf2+) making the score equal and with black in control of the center and far more developed than white. As far as the rest of the play goes to finalize the mate I'd say the moves are very amatuer. 11 ...b6??

Yeah they weren't from a game of mine...they were from a opening Trap book.  Usually trap books give logical continuation moves that amature's might make.  If they made the "BEST" moves then the game would continue of course down the path.

What you said is of course true and obvious as well.

Why not:

"9. Bxc3", instead of "9. Nxc3"?

I thought it was pretty too StoicOne.  Like an Anderson Game

Very nice...

The ruy lopez is one of my favourite openings, although i still find the berlin wall defense a formidable response to the ruy lopez.
