In your second diagram, after 4...Bc5 5 Be3 Nf6, instead of 6 Qd3, 6 Nxc6 wins a piece.
The Scotch
The lines you suggested are terrible for black. the actual lines are:
And there are many other lines. I don't want to go into details, because there are many things to do for both black and white. Anyhow, never take twice on d4, and never play d6, as it just fails to dxe5 dxe5 and Qxd8+.
Most of those are unrealalistic. 3...d5 is bad It looks good but it isnt.
Let me tell you a very funny story, kasparov used to play this opening.

1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 ... by declining 2.f4, White reveals his missing manhood.
2. ... Nc6
3. d4 ed
4. c3!! ... White's second move was a ruse; his manhood is there after all.
5. ... dc
6. Nxc3
The "Scotch Game" is for neutered GM's.

On this thread, click on your username of spots100 You will then get a screen with the words "spots100's Recent Activity Views Comment Date"
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on "view spot100's content"
You'll then get a screen that says "Spot100's Content"
At the far right of the line that says The Scoch would be "View|Edit"
Click on Edit
You can then change the title "Soch" to Scotch. Then hit SUBMIT
