This is a opening that happened in a game I played and I think it might be a new opening

2......f6 is known as Damiano Defense. It has a poor reputation because of 3 Nxe5 ! On 3.....fxe 4 Qh5+ and what does Black do ? If 4......g6 then 5 Qxe5+ wins the Rook. On 4 .......Ke7, the King will be smoked out, ie; 5 Qxe5+, Kf7 6 Bc4+ Kg6 7 Qf5+ Kh6 8 d4+ g5 9 h4 and Black can say good bye

It's Damiano's Defence. Black should never play like this as it loses by force. Nh4 is not the correct punishment.

The correct punishment is Nxe5:

A terrible game for black. Black can cling on for a while longer here but it's totally dead lost.

In order to improve you need to learn to punish this opening. They can't play this way and get away with it.

In order for them to improve they need to learn their lesson.
