How often do you see

1.e4, e5 2. n-f3, n-f6 3. d3(with a kia style game)

and are you happy, indifferent, uncomfortable or other meeting this type of game?

I play the Petroff a lot and the move order above does not happen. Actually, Black's 3.Nxe4 is a blunder because of 4.Qe2 winning a pawn after 4...d6 or black's queen after 4.Nf6.

I looked D3 up on my Fritz megadatabase and its given a ? with few players but a dozen or so 2500+ players have played D3 where mentioned including Kasparov in a internet blitz game in 1998. (He won of course.)

Thanks for that...I have been messing around with it(unsuccesfully of course) against the comp.

I faced it in blitz today in fact, and I found it surprisingly not too bad for white. I misplayed it of course, but later I came up with this analysis (with computer). It's not deep or may not be best, but it's what I'll try to do next time I face it:

Would u like to play a game?  I wasn't playing it in that exact way I think it would be interesting and would like a real player to try it out against(if you prefer unrated that is fine too).

OK, why not? (I'd prefer a live game rather than correspondence).
