Trompowsky for beginners?

Is the trompowsky a good opening (against indian game. Against 1. ... d5, I will either play queens gambit, or the London system) for someone my level who wants a positional, but not overly complex opening with no pages upon pages of theory? I am thinking of switching to it once the fried liver stops working, unless I find an even better alternative to the Italian. (Also, if anyone here that replies, albeit I doubt I will get many repliers, recommends the ruy lopez, please shut. Who do you think I am, Fabiano Caruana?)

the Trompovski is a good opening. there are various videos on YouTube that will show the lines that you can choose from as white. most of these involve what to do with the bishop if black does not allow BxNf6. Hanging Pawns has some good videos. Although, some of the positions can be messy and complicated.

one benefit of playing the Trompovski as white, is black will probably be out of book quite quickly. if you play it every time against Nf6, you will have the edge because of playing the positions often. keep in mind, that there are some lines for black that are still quite effective that date back to the 80s and 90s when it was more popular then, than now. Openings go in and out of style.

Simple answer: maybe
The only trompowsky that is reaaally good is the hopton attack. Other Trompowskys are just trying to lose the bishop for the most value and then play it like a colle or disabled london(or stonewall)
Btw why not switch now if you don’t enjoy open tactical games?
I wouldn’t recommend queen’s gambit btw

Why not queens gambit? Is it cuz the theory? If so, lthats def understandable. Also the reason I dont wanna switch yet is because I LITERALLY have a 100% win rate in the fried liver. Its just WAY too good. However, once I start getting hit with Na5, fried liver wont lead to an instant win, and the positions are eh. Thinking about it though, whats the point if winning if you dont have fun? I will think about it.

idk I find it difficult to manage d4-c4 isolated duo without glueing all of my pieces to protect it. Also theory, and the amount of defenses that black has
