It's certainly playable and has been used a bit by Bologan.
However you really need to know what you're doing imo to avoid being crushed by the space and development lead you gift your opponent.
That said I don't feel like it has enough venom that learning how to handle it properly will really pay off, except maybe in shorter time controls.
This is very comparable to my personal view of the Alekhines defence.
