If many people are falling for this, all I can say is play harder opponents. Also, try not to play this. Although its a chance for a quick end,
1)you don't learn anything
2)you have a worse position if its blocked.

When I joined, I expected much harder players, but to my deceit, I didn't. The four move check mate ( Populary known ) has worked against MANY players, and I've just joined recently. I think people should take their time, and actually understand Chess a bit more, to make it atleast a bit more interesting for the other players. :)
If you understood chess a little more you wouldn't play that rubbish as White.

I would think his understanding of chess is spot on. Isn't the aim to win the game?
If it works, then by all means play like that if you want to. But you'll soon get to a level where it won't work and you have to adapt...that's when the real fun starts
You should do it until your opponents are strong enough (I assume you play those of close strength) to block this more than 50% of the time. If more than 50% of your Fool's Mate attempts fail already, put it behind you. (The bishop move is pretty sound though)
You get opponents close to your own rating. So if you expected stronger opponents, that means you aren't as strong as you thought you were.
According to your current stats, 94% of the players in live chess are higher rated than you. There is sufficient challenge here even if you improve a bit!

In reality, as long as he plays it, he won't get higher than the level at which it works.
any opponent whose 'opening' consists of moving their h-pawn only is going to be pretty easy to beat ... no matter if you're using the fool's mate or not ... it's not a 'fool's mate in the example you show; it's a 'someone-who-hasn't-learned-the-basic-concepts-of-the-opening-moves-in-chess mate'

You're pulling our leg aren't you?
" When I joined, I expected much harder players....I didn't" you said.
But here you are getting mated in 4 moves.
Please read carefully, before you comment..
I wasn't checkmated, but was the person TO check mate the other player..
