Bishops are catholic priests. Knights must be men. The king is a man. The rooks are not specified.

I think their shape says it all.

What's up with not casteling?

TheDev1

If I castled, then it would hinder the rooks' ability to surround the king.

kleelof

I see. What's the point of trapping your rook and using the other one in such a passive position?

Now we just need Ron to come back and tell us if that makes him uncomfortable or not.

kleelof

Oh, wait. That example was a joke. Right?

TheDev1

It was as much of a joke as Ron's comment. Take of it what you will. In the meantime, I will be winning all of my games with this opening.

kleelof

I see you have both sides doing this. What will you do if your opponent doesn't go along?

TheDev1

I will crawl up into the armadillo position and suck my thumb.

I do the same exact thing except I replace my thumb with a baby bottle filled with Jack Daniels and red fanta.

I like playing the english defence because you can't really get pushed if you play it properly

unterseegoat

I like playing a first move and then I usually follow it up with a second move after my opponent does things.

Trapper4

use b3. i've had good success with it in OTB games against strong opponents too

Seems it would get boring after the 5th or 6th move.

Sometimes yeah, but other times stuff happens and with things being the way they are it's really something.

TheDev1

I have tried b3 several times, but I never really enjoyed it. Of course, that is kind of the point of the thread; isn't it? I will be sure to employ b3 in my next blitz games. Thank you very much for the suggestion, friend.

....and eight peasant pawns hope to one day grow n2 a queen that they're following. They don't rally behind some fatazz king who can't move but one square and hides behind a Joan of Arc rook upon castling n2 safety.
