A real defence be it slightly boring are the pirc and the Slav defences. You kinda ignore your openents central pawn, and wait till they get out of their repertoire also not that often seen modern defense. I think these black openings are a bit aged not as sexy hyped as Sicilian dragon and other Sicilian defenses and because of that can surprise your openent I've been playing pirc against strong club players they're often not used to it. But if your a pro player then all you can get from black is draw (or loose by blundering). So loosing a bit more with black I think is statistically speaking normal
