That picture does not look like an opening to me, looks like black probably resigned and it is somewhere in the middle game / endgame territory and not the opening zone.
What opening is this????
It could be many openings... You could probably watch the game again in your archives (if it was played on chess.com) otherwise, if you can remember a few basic move we might be able to help you, because all i ''see'' right now is the possibility of a King Indian attack (missing the bishop) or maybe an English/Caro-Kann opening
Wow thats a lot of responces early, i had trouble with making the board. This is the first one ive done and i had to do it manually so it took like 10 mins (plus ive been drinking). Anyways it was a bullet game and the endgame isnt so important (for my question)
Isn't it ok to just take that pawn? not much black can get in compensation
1) Nf3 1) ...e5
2) Nxe5
What has black really accomplished for the pawn sac?

i couldve if i didnt premove the opening, i dont really care about game analysis i just want to know if this is an established opening, and what it is iff it exist
To be honest, I am more interested in your avatar than your opening LOL
Old prevert !
1. Nf3 is the Reti Opening. If it is followed up with a Kingside fianchetto, some refer to it as the King's Indian Attack.
so its a kings indian??? normally i can develope until the first pawn is taking which happened this game. maybe that will help you guys, ive never read a chess book :(
Just looking at what white did in the posted game it's a move order jumbled Larsen attack followed as a "system" up to the end of turn eight.
so whats the verdict? ive seen 3-4 opeings listed, either none is right; one is right; or all are "partially" right. I think im just gonna call it my opening if theres no consensus.
After 1.Nf3, it's a Reti (or, I suppose, a Zukertort), but a Reti doesn't always stay a Reti, it's just a convenient way to describe the move 1.Nf3.
After 1...e5, it's a gambit under that same umbrella.
After 3.c4, it has transposed to an English opening.
Its called the QGD 5.b3 system a favorite of mine
How in God's name is this a QGD system when black never, at any point, plays either d5 OR e6?

It's a syste m the setup i from the QGD you dont need to play d5 or e6 at all. how bout this It's the QGD 5.b3 system SETUP I did'nt think I'd have to make it that obvious when talking about a system type opening. That what the word system means.
I "made" an opening that i use in bullet games every time. Can anyone tell me what it is please, also this is my first post so if the board/game is screwed up please let me know so i can fix it.
