I put the first two moves of the Elephant gambit (1. e4 e5, 2. Nf3 d5) into chess.com's analysis board and Stockfish evaluates it to +0.79 at depth 25. Similarly the starting position of the Latvian gambit (1. e4 e5, 2. Nf3 f5) evaluates to +1.22 at depth 24. So Stockfish seems to think that the Elephant gambit is more sound for black than the Latvian gambit. Thoughts?
Also, which do you consider to be better to play as black for someone good at tactics? Thanks.
