Which is the best defense against english opening?

As King's Indian player, you're best bet is to play nf6 g6 to encourage the d4 pawn push. Most English players will be glad to play a normal kings Indian. The majority of your games following this strategy will transpose into your preferred opening.
My strategy is to play into the normal King's Indian and go into the Averbakh variation. Some English players will insist on proceeding with the Botvinnik system against the KID, but these are few and far between.

The best is 1... e5 objectively, but c5, Nf6, e6, d6, g6, c6, and to a lesser extent f5, d5, and b6 are all very playable.

Personally only play English occasionally and quite happy to play a sicilian, which I play, with an extra tempo. Find it harder getting somewhere against c5, c6 and e6.
As black play the KingsIndian and Queen's Gambit declined, already one to many. 1c4 g6 and ... e6 fit with those, in general should try to fit with what play against 1.d4.
