i might be a bit pessimistic but it seems to me that black is under pressure in this line. is this why anand preffered the h6+Nd5 line vs karjakin.

I would like to know if you see any improvements for black because I still think that what used to be the mainline of e5 in the pp should still be playable for black but I just can't figure it out. all help is appreciated

Why would you play a line you have to memorize out to 20 moves plus?

Chessbase's online database has this line out to 18 moves but loses the thread after 18 Rxd4.  Yes, black has three pawns but looks like he is more than under pressure.

Show us a game you played this line in.

well according to me most other options against Bg5 just don't do the trick+ the pp is the most challenging

i personally prefer Nd5 I was just wondering if Nbd7 might still be playable.

also I had one game in the f5 line were i managed to cordinate.tough I won i lost the score sheet ): . but in post mortem analysis we found the whole Qd4 thing. and we tought that black was struggeling.

what are  your toughts on what is the best line to combat Bg5??

Well you have also helped me! Now im more prepared against it. Some moves look kind of silly (Like the Queens getting out) but well im 1150 and i cant say anything against them, im sure they are good. There are plenty of videos on youtube just search "sicilian najdorf bg5" and they will appear. Hope this helped.

No, it's a line. The idea is 10. exf6 Qe5+ winning the g5 bishop.

Yeah but this is how to answer Bg5, not which attack is best. However i prefer it too.
