"Yes, I am a maniac with a gun" - me whenever I play white (queens gambit).

I love the queen's gambit - D4 C4 and i don't much mind what happens next because if they're not posing any active threats I get the knight out (Nc3) put pawns in center of board and queens gambit go wee (given that I also put both my knights to guard pawns and for development sake).

If they take, great - gambit time! If they don't take and keep developing, I'm just gonna drop my piece on the table and absolutely play E4 - take either of them, I dare you. If my piece train had a brake, I couldn't tell you where it was. (A lot of my opening play is "accidentally" theoretical - I never remember what I do to save my life but I look at a move and I go "oh ok so that's what's going on, the best move next would be this", or I don't and get smacked)

If they try playing any sort of fianchetto or KID type deal with their bishop (provided I'm not having a terrible day) they get absolutely slapped and they won't be able to move - they (for no apparent reason) let me have three pawns in the center at all times and try to develop the bishop when they don't realize I'm specifically putting a barricade of pawns in FRONT of that bishop

Then again I also give free ELO like MrBeast gives out cash about 33% of the time so i can't much complain

Though I'll be honest, I do kinda wanna get better at this opening. I love this d4 and all the seperate subsystems - I hear sometimes about the Catalan or Indian Defense or those things - and they all sound a metric ton more fun than the London System (bong). If anyone on here would happen to know any good theory for d4 openings - like QGA or QGD theories, or whatever the Catalan be or do... that'd be awesome!

Regardless of if you do or don't I hope you're all having a great day. I'm mainly posting A: for fun and B: for Great Finds, if you catch my drift

I play the Colle converted into the Queens Gambit declined (up to move 5 in this case, but I tend to move my LSB and then castle with less against a less aggressive defense).  When Stockfish at the site's highest level plays it, white always wins against itself.
