Stockfish is a computer.
Your chess heroes

Tal.
My playstyle is hyper aggressive with an outlook to cripple my opponents defenses before he can set them up... or a king/pawn endgame after we exchange everything on the board, whichever comes first, lol. :)
My games revolve around strong attacks and exchanges that lead to crazy scenarios where I am down 4 pawns but have mate in 1 on the board vs my opponent.
In that regard, Tal is my hero... hands down. He attacked without hesitation, but always had a line in mind and never gave his opponent an inch.

Fischer. Iron positional play, powerful tactical and attacking play, and a sheer will to crush everyone in front of him.
Wish I could psychologically crush everyone the moment they see me paired against them...

IDK if Stockfish can be said to be a hero, as it's a computer, but I personally don't think so.
I mean, it doesn't have a real playing style, and that's what chess heroes are about. The point of having a hero is trying to emulate his/her style of play. Unless you're trying to calculate 30 ply and tell me in every position that White is +0.30 or so on, I don't think Stockfish can be a valid chess hero.

Fischer - Strong tatical knowledge, great opening knowledge
Tal - Crazy attacking chess
Carlsen - Computer-like percsion, endgame mastery
Nakamura - Amazing chess player who also has fun with the game
Stocfish - The best
Morphy - The original Tal
Karpov - Postional prowess

Morphy, Tal and very partial towards J Polgar, who was basically Tal in a skirt.
I'm agressive, just like them, so they'd appealed to me.
I've lately been studying Ulf Andersson, but because he plays a slow positional game typically which is VERY unlike me. I like sharp lines and crazy games. I play a lot of king's gambit and sicilian games compared to his english.
Alekhine and Lasker I think are two of my favorite that I look up to.

All the 'K's. Korchnoi, Kramnik, Karpov, and both Kasparovs (Garry and Sergey).
Karpov was just exceptionally strong positionally. Korchoi was an amazing fighter. G. Kasparov was the best player of time (obviously). Kramnik in his prime was like some kind of cross between Karpov and Kasparov. And S. Kasparov plays the Benko really well. :)
Who are your biggest chess heroes - grandmasters whom you'd follow and aspire to play like?
I have a crush on Naka (<3) and Stockfish.
how about you?
