In a tournament your games will start automatically. You couldn't get into the tournament because it had already started.
You made a mistake by playing someone else. How is that a bug? Next time you won't make the same mistake. Problem solved.

I signed up for the 10 min tournament and while I was waiting for it to start I was told that a member challeded me to a 10 min game! I had to assume that this was my 1st game of the tournament! So I started playing...
Low and behold a pop-up shows on the screen to 'Stop all your games because the tournament is about to begin!'
So I immediately resigned the game I was in and when I went to the tournament I COULD NOT GET IN!!! ALL MY GAMES WERE LOST!
What a terrible bug that you have... fix it or I will leave your site!
And because you do not want the members to know about this (you deleted my post) I am going to post it in several other sections!

Even though its not my role now, the support team and I work on different time zones. I work on the same timezone as the live chess programmer.
I've moved your thread from 'Chess Organizers' to 'Live Chess' and have sent a copy of your thread to the live chess programmer.
As I don't work here now I can't comment on what happened with any previous threads, but in case this one goes too, I have given him both the link and a copy of the content posted.
Unfortunately Don, other than that I can't do any more for you. Its in the hands of the support team and live chess programmer now.

When I was sent an active challenge using the 10 min tournament stats one minute before the tournament was about to start it was apparent to me that this was my 1st game!
I will NEVER play in another event until this is corrected... and you are a stupid ass to try to say it was my mistake!

As if "I" am the problem? No, I am not 'the problem'. I have been creating and running BBS's for 20 years! I am a professional in programming and administration. If I tell you that you have a problem then that means I have made the determination that you have a problem which you are not aware of!
To FIX your problem you need your programmer to rewrite the routine so that when a person is 'waiting for a 10 min tournament to start' NOBODY can send a 10 minute challenge to them!
I could write the code myself! But this is not what I am paid for... I am a trouble-shooter to help out dummies who can't write proper code.
Send this message to your programmers. I don't ever want another member caught in this bad coding!

Well, chess.com is full of bugs, so I can understand where this guy's coming from.

Chess.com becomes a better site when people point out something in the programming is wrong. I recommend this site to everyone because they listen when someone complains about a serious error.
