free chess lessons

I am an experienced chess instructor, teaching at elementary and high schools. I also work with senior citizens and other adults. If you would like to learn more, I am offering free chess lessons, with confidence that many will continue with paid lessons. Of course, I have to pay rent and taxes!

There are a lot of 'instructors' out there, but most are not good teachers. Indeed, I have a PhD, and am aware that many professors cannot explain their subject clearly. Fortunately, I am a natural educator: patient, willing to listen, and able to identify what the student doesn't understand. If you are an absolute beginner, I can help you improve quickly. If you are more experienced, I can still be of assistance, as I have won multiple state tournaments.

My lessons are typically conducted via Skype or telephone, utilizing chess.com. We can play, but it is more instructive for you to play other people, and together we can analyze your losses.
