Lucas Chess is easy to use. Just click the buttons. If you have questions, ask Lucas himself, here is the link http://lucaschess.blogspot.com/.

Aren't fritz and komodo engines and not learning software?

Yes for Komodo, no for Fritz.  Fritz is a full featured program with s GUI and even a DB.  Not nearly the features of the ChessBase products, but less of a learning curve as well.

I have found there are three free Chess programs which are said to have chess database features.

Scid vs PC (and its relatives Scid and its other forks), Lucas Chess, and ChessX - which is currently having some problems on Windows 10.
