I don't have any ideas, really. Let me know how it goes and maybe I'll start a chess club when I go to college next semester!

I recently started a chess club for Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I'm struggling to get the club on its feet. I just started playing about a year ago and seeing that our club has very limited funds we have no clocks and no insructor and I am stuck studying positions to teach to the club. I am open to any suggestions as I feel like I'm in way over my head sometimes. I really wish there was a way to increase attendance, but I have no idea how to promote the club. Any advice is welcome. I am a second semester Freshman this semester and so is my VP. The club consists of my close friends that decided to join as well as a few other people bringing the average attendence to about 8 people. By limited funds I meant that I've been buying everything out of pocket (which I can't do because I need to use my money to pay for college.) We didn't elect officers because My friend (the VP) and I founded the club and we didn't have enough members to place any responsability on the rest of ther group. My hope is that the group grows and thrives enough that we are able to have officer elections and that the club will continue after I graduate. I hope that we can become a strong enough group of individuals that we are able to attend or even host tournaments and that we can have a structured government like the other clubs on campus. So again, any adivice that anyone may have will be recieved well. Thank you!
