1990 to early 2000s was golden period for attacking chess and it was never boring to watch. It included my favorite player Veselin Topalov too, then one whose games made me addicted Chess fan. Though Kramnik has a plus score against Kasparov, it was always the games between Topalov and Kasparov that generated spectator fireworks. Let's see the guys (Other than Kasparov) who made 1990s chess an interesting period before Computers preparation came into play.

Veselin Topalov: A fearlessly aggressive tactical player who often chose sharp openings and sacrificed material to gain the initiative. His willingness to enter chaotic positions that unsettled even the strongest opponents. One of the few to be ranked World #1 in chess and held the no.1 spot for 27 months in total.

Alexei Shirov: Known for his "fire on board" style, Shirov was one of the most tactical players of the era. A student of Mikhail Tal, he specializes in utilizing brilliant sacrifices and deep, active calculation to overwhelm opponents, often prioritizing initiative over material. He was ranked World # 2 in January 1994.

Vasyl Ivanchuk: Known for his profound creativity and unpredictable attacking style. His play was characterized by deep strategic concepts that frequently culminated in brilliant tactical explosions. He was World # 2 in July 1991, July 1992 and Oct 2007.

Alexander Morozevich: Highly regarded for his creative and unpredictable play, Morozevich was one of the few players who could consistently challenge with his unorthodox openings and frequently declines draw offers to keep the "chess tonus" and pushes for a decisive result in every game. He was ranked World # 2 in July 2008.
