According to a post made earlier this week I believe, Karpov said that Fischer was already an Anti-semite when he talked to him in the mid-70s. I'm too lazy to find the thread but, if that's the case, nothing that happened to him later in life caused this behavior.

i was watching some biography on the history channel. In it it showed bobby Fischer's life. i don't understand why he went insane. whats your theory? was he always that way? What do you think?
