No no, I'm asking how you justify the claim of 'following him around,' given that it was pretty much impossible for those he had blocked to do so.

You must be kidding.

PrawnEatsPrawn

There was never any need to follow bleater, he was everywhere: every thread, insinuating himself into groups where he wasn't welcome, writing in the notes of those he had blocked. Everywhere.

theoreticalboy

Why?  There's a difference between responding to someone constantly spewing in as many threads as possible (even if those responses are regurgitated content), and someone actively seeking out contributions that user has made in order to rubbish them.

(which isn't to say that nobody did that; not one of us could know if another person did.  But, his 'tracker' paranoia was ludicrous)

There is such a thing as a sore winner. Come on, guys. Drop it.

Right; following beater would have been like hunting the sun.  He was always there anyway.

Checkmate always treated me with respect. I will miss him.

The elephant in the room is who will win September. When's that Lenny deadline?

theoreticalboy

4 days.  I have 4000 stoners ready to wreak havoc on chess.com's cheez-it supply if Lenny isn't crowned winner.

Cystem_Phailure

I doubt many of them will remember the appointment.

theoreticalboy

There'll be a "you've got cheez-its!" reminder in their mailboxes.

Cystem_Phailure

Mallomars.  Don't forget the Mallomars.

Chess.com has been taking away the ability to post or send messages and remove all content for quite awhile. If you search for checkmateibeatu under "Members" two members come up, checmateibeatu and Balachandar. They last one seems to be his previous identity. Balachander logged in 10/9/11. All of checkmateibeatu's threads are still listed but cannot be read.

Balachandar is not and never has been checkmateibeatu.

Here's the reason he's on that list:

He was in on the gag when we all changed our avatars.
Since then, he's not been on the site much.
