Ha, this happened again today, and also he was playing for Papua New Guinea apparently! 3 boards at once? The man is crazy!
Gawain Jones played a simul at the Olympiad

Round 3 [according to the list of live games] and again:
Gawain Jones plays
on board 2 for England vs. GM Lazaro Bruzon
on board 1 for Wales vs. GM Hannes Stefanson (by the way don't mix it up with board 3 where CM Iolo Jones plays)
on board 3 for Papua New Guinea against a player rated 1700+ and that's the big upset of the day!
Hopefully this quick defeat will help him to understand that he should focus on his games for the English Team!
Some players just can't get enough of fun and Gawain Jones is one of them: at the Olympiad in Istanbul, during the round one, he played two games simultaneously, one for Wales and one for England. Both on board one of course.
Are we back in the time where Kasparov could play a simul vs. a whole national team? Probably not, because our hero scored only 0,5/2.
And what will happen if England has to play against Wales? How could the organisers authorize it?
If you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe the list of live games at the official page . You come too late, the page doesn't show the games of round 1 anymore. Look at this screen capture then:
I checked and it happens that IM Richard Jones played for Wales, not GM Gawain Jones.
The official webpage gives the correct information on the results page. I am almost disappointed...
