He wrote a book about his career trying to get a match with Jose Capablanca. He presents 100 games where the main theme is using opponent's inaccurate opening and punishing them for it. I think it's called "On the road to World Championship"

Alékhine's own books are good, but not objective and contain errors.
The best is probably My Great Predecessors by Kasparov.

Yes I had a first edition and it was a good book. He's a very interesting person. Possibly an unpleasant person but a great player. Pretty much any biography should be a good read.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good books on Alexander Alekhine? I'm a new player, comparatively, and not very good, but I feel like a necessary step in one's chess journey is finding some grandmaster they find quite interesting. Mine's Alekhine. I was hoping to find books on his biography, his games, and also on his untimely death. I'd appreciate any recommendations you have, only in English, regrettably.
