Giri-Topalov post game conf was absolutely boring and quite irritating as well. And it was so because of Giri! I actually wanted to hear what Topalov had to say but Giri would never let him speak, not to mention the host who was sitting as an equally frustrated bystander! His expression said it all!! A few days ago Giri also made a stupid nd unnecessary comment abt Kramnik! but this time I couldnt even bother to let the video finish. Moreover his knowledge is mediocre as compared to other candidates nd I personally don't really want to hear his thoughts (mostly because they seem kind of mechanical nd are quite uninteresting)! On another note, Aronian seems to be in great mood this tournament nd I loved his sense of humour! His post game conferences have been a real treat. Anand's too. Anand-Svidler was quite instructive nd clear to the point.

I wish the answer were more subtle but Anish Giri is just an arrogant jerk. Even when he "compliments" Magnus it's a back handed compliment. My least favorite player.

I just watched a couple of Giri's interviews. Seems reasonable to me. Maybe I haven't hit his bad interviews yet?
We need to go back to the good old days when a player might jump up from the board in the middle of a round and loudly proclaim "how could I be losing to this idiot?!" for all in the playing hall to hear.

He's not really a jerk, I think he's just a smartass who likes to be funny. He is also constantly dumped on across the internet and I think he just wants to show people that he can dish as well as he takes.

Is it just me or does anyone else see Anish Giri as being an arrogant jerk? I watch him in post game pressers and he comes across to me as a know it all who thinks he should be world champ because he has a winning record against the current world champ. I understand that sometimes a GM may be a bit erudite, but to me Giri is more so than any others.
