Ding makes such blunt blunders that border on being impossible to make either by chance or due to any mental or physical illness.
It has occurred to me whether maybe he wants to send us a message like a (mute) cry out for help? Maybe he is somehow mistreated in China that he cannot speak of?
This is not a blame against China, and less even than a suspicion: it is rather a supposition for a possibility. Or do I watch too may adventure movies?
