Paul Morphy's Games
18. Qd1 or any other variation would've been interesting but I'm sure tha game would've concluded in the similar manner
This next game is a treat. Its the only game in which Paul Morphy played the french defense (Advance Variation)
Paul Morphy attacking the pawn center at its base with 3...c5 in the french, was decades before nimzowitsch. The plan with 6...Bd7, 7...Nh6 (aiming to f5 xd4) and 8...Rc8 is surprisingly modern! Morphy shows again to be lightyears far over his contemporaries. Morphy was only 13 when this was played, at a time when no computers and little theory existed. He definitely was a massive talent.
Another similar game showing how bad trouble some f4 is for White

HI everyone, I've decided to start studying some old chess games of Paul Morphy to help improve my understanding of Chess. I'm not here to teach anyone. I'm just using this forum to help organise my games and lessons. I dont see any better medium than here to do this.
Feel free to go through any of the post you like. Most of the analysis are based on my own opinion which are not neccessarily thorough or enlightening.
