Stupid idiots who don't know when to resign?

Are these guys honestly hoping for the apocalypse coming? Why do people insist on playing games to the bitter end when everything else is failing, don't they have enough respect for the intelligence of the person who got them in that state in the first place?

I get it if there are REAL CHANCES available on the board, but not if they are wasting your time like my first two experiences in correspondance... I mean people, get a grip! 

You want respect, but you talk down to people?  yea...that makes sense.

I don't need your respect or anyones, it is about the respect over the board. Respect for a fellow player, got nothing to do with me in a special case.

Unless the rules have changed, no one is required to resign when you think they should.  They are respecting themselves, they are fighting on, and not quitting.  

Quit whining and win the game.

they might be hoping you are an old guy who will soon have a heart attack. they may be afraid also, a lot of engine users may have that problem too, playing against one at the mo.

Shouldnt we all be "entitled" to get whatever we want out of life?  I mean...come on...my time is more valuable than yours.  And who are you to make me wait?

No one said the rules have changed, jesus, its all about respect. Not even for me, or your opponent...

Just take a seat back. Could you have seen Tal play a game of chess until only he had pawns left when his opponent has four minor pieces? Don't talk to me here like I am some idiot, its clear the point I am arguing should be a universal respect. But people don't and I think they do it because they are losing!

I bet if they were winning, they would never like an opponent to draw it out to the very last pieces. It's a horrible attitude and just because you ''have the time and allowed it'' don't make it better.

Look, you have to win the game three times, in the opening, in the middlegame, and in the endgame. Your opponent can do what ever they want when they're losing, they are respecting you by thinking that you'll win anyway and it doesn't matter. Just beat them!

Hoping for the elusive Bishop -Knight vs lone king endgame to see if you can execute it probably.

Personally I don't give sh#t if a player wants play out the whole thing. It's not like waiting a couple of weeks after Christmas to open your presents, it's a stinking game you have won and it won't go away.

However what really pisses me off is when some Wiz Bang tells me on chat that I need to resign now. I know when to resign so the first thing I do is disable Chat and drag it out till the bitter end.
