Well said. Even so, I think the expression of his humanity as evident in his chess videos can be described most accurately as hubris.
Chess is 99% hubris.

It's simply a matter of perspective. He's high on Silman and fun to watch.
He wholly misunderstands Silman. One person’s fun is another’s torture. I don’t enjoy watching a grown man, especially such a nice guy, make an utter fool of himself.
He made one video about a chess tournament that he attended. I know several of the people in the video. I enjoyed watching that one.
Actually he has a very good understanding of Silman, but its of no use when you are hanging pieces and have no concept of central control, development, king safety etc etc
