macer75, if you're reffering the question to me, then I would say I'm an aggressive player with a tendency to be active. So then, I'm an active-aggressive player.
Types of Players

kleelof, if these are for lower level players then why are you categorizing Tal as an aggressive player? You're contradicting yourself. Like I said in my post, some people don't like to admit they have a play style, but everyone does whether they like it or not. Everyone has a way of playing that's the most comfortable for them...
Not at all. Tal has been categorized as an aggressive player by others, not me. I suppose I was thinking more about your definitions of these styles and these so-called 'drawbacks' you listed for the different styles.
I've never heard of a strong chess player denying they have some type of chess play style. In fact, I believe most strong chess players look at their style as a point of pride rather than something to be uncomfortable with.

What about a counter attacking style? (e.g. Viktor Korchnoi)

Styles of Patzers
The Hedgehog-plays b3,Bb2,g3,Bg2,e2,d2 setup all the time.He prefers to wait and win on time against a player who doesn't know how to attack.
The Systems player-related to the hedgehog but more versatile.he plays systems that don't require too much theoretical knowledge like the london system, stonewall etc.He doesnt know how to calculate.
Pawn pusher-When he has developed all his pieces and he doesnt know what to do,he pushes pawns instead.
The Tal wannabe-plays sacrificial chess without calculating and gets mad when he loses.Calls the defender boring.
The trashtalker-starts taling trash when he loses 3-0 in order to distract opponent and hope to win on time
