Which players finishes their games the quickest?

Does anyone know which players had a tendency to finish their games within very few moves (winning or losing), most often finishing the games in the middlegame (if not the opening), rather than letting the games go to the endgame? 

I guess Morphy would fit this description, right? But who else?

Along the same chronology-based train of thought,I would think the more classical a game was, the more likely it got over rather quick ... before the advent of hypermodern systems and the evolution of positional/strategic thinking to what it is today.

Would it be fair to say open 1.e4 games (and the players who favor them) tend to end quicker as well?

I don't know, Shivsky. But it's an interesting question! Maybe 1. e4-games in general leads to shorter games than e.g. 1. d4-games? I wonder. It would be great if someone with some database software could answer this question!
