Hello,

I'd like to introduce my variant of the game rules. The aim is to solve the too common opening problem as well as a few others.

1. The game begins with the chessboard empty. The whites place their pieces first.
The king and queen are placed as usual. Other figures can be placed symmetrically (variant "a") or asymmetrically (variant "b").

Varian A) In this variant of the rules, pieces on both sides of king-queen must be placed symmetrically. E.g. for whites (left-to-right): R-B-N-Q-K-N-B-R or B-R-N-Q-K-N-R-B

Variant B) In this variant pieces don't have to be symmetrically placed, creating the possibility for 2 bishops of the same "color": R-N-B-Q-K-N-B-R, etc.

In both variants, both sides of king and queen must have 1 rook, 1 knight, and 1 bishop.

Pawns are placed as usual.

2. After the whites placed their pieces, blacks place theirs. This way compensating for the advantage of the white's first move, since blacks can arrange their pieces after observing the initial position of the whites.

(You can play with the computer even now with the changes up to this point, kind of)

3. The castling rule: all restrictions as usual and the final position of the king and rook must be as in the classic rules.

4. Pieces move as usual. Apart from the pawns, which are directly defended by the queen. Those pawns can strike back (diagonally).

Thanks for your attention.
Cheers.
