Can you please fix the elimination chess rules?
That is partially true. I think we need to fix the issue with a player with only one piece left being able to make a move if it is able to capture.

Hi all,
I have been playing elimination chess a lot, where the rules are:
Eliminate all the opponents' pieces but one to win, or put yourself in a stalemate. No checkmates, capturing is compulsory.
Usually the game ends when I capture all of my opponents pieces but one, but if they can capture something, the game allows them to continue capturing, despite the fact that I've eliminated all but one of their pieces, and the game should immediately end.
The worst part about this is that If they capture something that is defended and I have to take back their last piece, the game is counted as a win for them (?!?!?) This is clearly wrong, because the goal of the game is to capture all but one of the opponents pieces, which I already had accomplished before the game continued to allow them to capture, and then forced me to take their last piece which technically puts them in stalemate (but it doesn't matter because I already should've won!).
Here is an example game where this happened
Here's how I think the rules should be fixed:
Eliminate all the opponents' pieces to win, or put yourself in a stalemate. No checkmates, capturing is compulsory. Having no pieces left does not count as a stalemate
This essentially makes it like anti-anti-chess, which is what this game really is.
I feel like most people who have played this variant would agree with this, as it's really annoying to be winning the game the whole time, and then lose because of some non-sensical rules.
If the rules of this variant can't be changed, can someone at least fix the issue where it allows your opponent to continue capturing, despite the fact they only have one piece left? This clearly should be a win for the other player, as they've captured all but one of their opponents pieces.
Thanks
