I've actually gotten the original starting position before (years ago), so it should be possible (although unlikely). On a separate note:

There must have been many thousands of Chess 960 games played here by now. That means the usual starting position must have been arrived at randomly about 1/960th of the time. Is that what actually happens? Or are we in fact playing Chess 959? The documentation here uses the phrase "shuffled randomly." I find this ambiguous. Can anyone attest that they have played a 960 game which was the original position? Or can an administrator verify that it can happen? Thanks for any clarification!
