the automate bot on chess.com is truly amazing, i check before does it run with standard stockfish depth 18 and apparently it does not match the cloud depth lines, so i think its modified a tad bit here n there but hey tbh automate would be much shorter if the played precisely, like extremely obviously one sided win

Heth Barmon is working on a way to play! You can find out about it on his automate server (gosh I sound like a salesman)
Not only that, before, i could access the variants thingy by going on the event page, now because of something i dont know, on my IOS i just CANT play any variants, just 960.
You can't go to Play and then down to Variants?
i dont evne know what automate is, but props on that budday. if chess.com ruined my experience of the game by changing the features for the worst, I'd be yelling and squaring at my TV screen
not rly, i'd probably find some other use of my time
I messaged them to bring back automate

First, a little background on why we took Automate down...
While this variant was a very neat idea, it just never become as popular as we wanted to and required some resources to keep running.
We hoped it wouldn't come down to it but regrettably, we had to shelve it for a while. We do hope to revive it eventually though! If you can help us put in a word, it would certainly give our team more push to bring it back. Leave your suggestion here - this will let our devs know how much desire there is to play this variant
I've sent a suggestion myself 
so automate might come back one day, hope our patience will be worth it staying on chess dot com

Big shame to see it go, it was actually one of the main reasons I created this account since I was just content playing bots at the time and then I saw someone playing automate on a youtube video.

WE NEED AUTOMATE!!!
then use a bot with a like 1% chance to play a massive blunder or which is programmed to have x cenipawn loss or accuracy or whatever
i'd go there and play as its very fun this variant
