Chess with regicide

Hello I saw the variation 3 chess chess today and I think it's super good that experimental versions of chess can also be played on chess.com. An experimental variant of chess I have often wished for would be chess with regicide: This means the opposing king can and must be taken. In addition to this, a king can now move into check or remain in check. A classic checkmate is possible but not absolutely necessary. A pat would still be possible, but far less often, since the opposing king would also have the opportunity to move into check. Is or was there already an experimental variant of "chess with regicide"? Does something speak against this variant or against trying this variant on chess.com? Would it be a lot of work to be able to modify the rules in this way?

What do you think of experimental chess variants like:
If you get checked three times you lose without being mate. Or that you could describe your own thoughts and wishes here and then perhaps collectively vote for implementation? I find both super exciting! Best Regards

#Ilampozhil25 Thank you and I understood exactly this experimental or modified chess variant after playing a view games and found it great.

In addition, the existence of new chess variants encouraged me to propose my own idea (it's certainly not something that has never been played but not the normal chess)

The chess variant: Chess with regicide (explained in my first text).

I hope to see what the community thinks of my variation idea.

This is effectively the same as "stalemate is a win", which has been discussed extensively.
