Did you look at 10二竪? I know you tend to underestimate retreating moves. For example, 82☖8四銀, instead of advancing your bronze, which was a mistake.

And earlier, 7三角 was ugly. I had considered 8二角 or 8四銀. It's better to drop the center pawns than fully concede a flank like this.

I didn't consider 10二竪. It is true that I primary try to advance pieces to the center, which might be sometimes a mistake, because of the slow movement of the step movers (it's easier therefore to hold a rank back).

7三角 was ugly, but I considered it the smaller evil. But I see now that it was a mistake

I thought 同角 was the more optimistic move if you decided to take my 仲 and play for activity. And there was 8二飛 if you decided not to take but instead retreat both of your pieces and accept some misery. But I didn't look at any considerable depth into recapturing with the pawn, since it's a half measure in both respects.

For example, there was 86☖同角 ☗10五•9四獅 ☖5五竜右 ☗同竜 ☖同竜 ☗4十虎 ☖5九角成 ☗同虎 ☖同竜成 ☗8三居食い ☖10一竪 ☗4八仲 and you get way more action than you otherwise would, at the expense of some material up front.

Yes that would be a playable way here.

Thank you for the game, I resign now.

I think the crucial mistake beside blunders, was to advance the silver to the center, as you said. Without lion, a more solid piece is needed, to block of the other lion.

ありがとうございました。By my estimation, there were a myriad of positional/strategical factors that led to your loss. Most notable of these were (in no particular order) ...

  • advancing the silver past 9三
  • poor prioritization of tasks, evaluation of needs
  • unnecessary loss of tempi (11五馬, 4五歩, etc)
  • capturing with incorrect pieces
  • inadequate opening strategy/structure
  • inability to adapt properly to structural change

I could go into each little thing deeply, but that wouldn't be so helpful to you.

You didn't mention hanging a Lion.
