The best setups that I've found is pawns, knights, and 1-2 queens. Going all knights versus all knights + 1-2 queens is hard to win. But all knights vs all queens is winning.
I like using 10 pawns 1 queen and the rest knights with 8 pawns on the eighth rank

I usually use this setup irrespective of the colour I am playing with. I mostly win with this.

Automate is strange and pointless. I set it up with a normal arrangement. The engine made idiotic moves and lost.
yep quite often the machine does some stupid moves like blundering a rook...

The best setup depends on the opponents setup. I often like to create a safety zone for my king, put my rooks on open files, two bishop fianchettos and a queen.
keep losing with minor pieces. any ideas?
