I think 1..e4 is the best
Because the Scotch game is my favourite opening and this helps control the center an develop pieces like. But see a real game below with the same position as above

I choose d4 Because the Pawn has a defender and if he attacks the Queens Pawn We simply Move the kings Pawn Next and if he attacks our pawn we simply push it or defend the Pawn with the Knight
Or
personally, I would choose d4 since it would lead to the london system or the queen's gambit and I think both are great openings.

The example given of the "Italian 4 knights" gives 4...d5, when the age-old continuation Nxe4! is known to rob White of the initiative.
what about the kings Indian defense. good? bad?
The King's Indian Attack can pretty much be used against any opening, since it is a setup and can be adapted. However, it works better against certain semi-open defenses, such as the french, the sicilian and the caro-kann.
i agree with that but what if white plays a very closed offensive opening like the dutch
Do you mean the Bird's Opening as a Dutch reversed??
one of the most common problems for beginners is choosing between e4 and d4 and then how to correctly attack and/or defend
