White to move

Black is obviously threatening the white queen, but amazingly, white played Ni5 and ended up winning. I don't understand this move. Do you think it is a great move or a blunder, and why?

Tja_05

It looks like a terrible move.

Here's how it played out

And now black's in some trouble.

What's that piece on d2 and g8?

ArchbishopCheckmate

That's an Archbishop which can move like a knight or a bishop. It's a powerful piece. The other new piece is a rook or a knight.

both of them

Both of what?

After Ni5 jxi5 hxi5 h5, I think Black is just better. The queen doesn't have to be taken.

It takes some chutzpah to throw the N around like that while the Q is hanging like that.  Looks like a blunder but is probably a great sacrifice - maybe Black is OK if he just doesn't take the bait?
