Havent you ever heard this saying? - one bad move nullifies 40 good ones
I created my own chess variant!

Havent you ever heard this saying? - one bad move nullifies 40 good ones
And it can be unfair, playing better the whole time and making one careless move. In this variation, the side with overall better play quality wins and it's less infuriating to make a single blunder

And brilliant moves are useless as they are also deflned as "you cant be winning without finding it"
I came up with an idea. What if we play chess, but the winner isn't the person who checkmates. The winner is the one who had a better position for the most of the game. This way, if i have an amazing position for the most of the game and i blunder mate in one, I'm still winning. In this mode the computer evaluation during the game matters and it's not just about the final state of the game. Of course it should be logarithmic. For example a mate in one position is not infinity in the eval bar. But it's a high number like ten. So if i had material advantage and clear computer eval advantage the whole game and the game ended in a stalemate, i still win because it would be a draw but my opponent was in trouble the whole time so this game mode breaks the tie. The players won't see the eval bar throughout the game. After the game, the computer analysis determines the winner.
