Hey Variant ppl! 👋 (my first post here, don't know the etiquette well)
I collect all sorts of chess variants and just came across a Kickstarter for Chess 2v2 (shared a picture of it in the bottom) and it immediately caught my eye! though i'd share it here and be the first before anyone else covers it hehe
Here’s what makes it interesting in my opinion:
✅ A fresh team variantthat's not bughouse (mean no disrespect to BUGHOUSE ) this one let's players all play on the same board at the same time so a new level of strategizing 🎯 Easy to learn:its not one of those hard to learn or complicated variants, so it's kinda deal for players of all skill levels, beginners or pros. 🕹️ Two game modes: it's got 2 game modes "Faceoff" & "Surrounded" people can switch around and experiment with
overall, i think its still chess (no weird concept) but now it's team based which is kinda neat since it'll fit perfectly for chess clubs and good for mini tournaments.
got this from their kickstarter page
So…what do you think? P.S if you guys enjoyed this, i might drop back and review another one from my collection
@d2iri I don't know if you have any relation or interaction with the creators. After all this just caught your eye. But I wonder if they considered, that one can buy a 2nd chess set in non-regular colour, a 2nd board, and there's no need to purchase this box anymore.
