New Variant

This is my new chess variant. It’s called Half&Half Chess. 
Setup:

Can pawns still promote to Queen?

I think the typical first move, then, would likely be to get those d-pawns promoted to Queen; or, it will happen within the first 3 moves. =D =P

Yep, the main point here is to do promotions but I feel like white has an advantage with this setup

I do say, if, both promotional Queens were to be recaptured, the end-situation would be that Black's King would be left somewhat exposed, giving Black a slight disadvantage.

Of course, don't forget: it's rather easy to get more than 1 Queen per player! (The Knight is a leaper, after all. haha)

Yep, I see this as more of who can take advantage of the easy multiple promotions

All rules as same as classical chess, but the number of figures and their arrangement is different

Here's some ideas:

SlowPawns: Pawns can only move one square and can't move 2 on their first move

GamesAlwaysEnd: Normal chess but neither side is allowed to draw or resign

PremovesAreGood: 1 minute bullet but every premove gives you 5 seconds for free
