New variant idea

Idea 1: You play N moves each and then switch sides to finish the rest of the game with whatever your opponent left you with. N should be a small number, not sure what though.

Idea 2: You play N moves each and then switch sides and play N moves again and then switch sides, repeat until someone checkmates. I think this could be interesting for N = anywhere from 1 to 10 maybe?

I feel like the person going first has too much advantage

Just to clarify in case necessary, each move still alternates back and forth one move at a time. The transition to go from one side to the other is kind of of problem. I don't know if moves should alternate by player so black would move twice in a row during the transition or the same player would move twice in a row during the transition. Needs some play testing.
